While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its entrance was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire bar . Smelling a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and sickness . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and refuse that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The lavatory was in even a more revolting state — clogged , with a snapped lever and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .
